Assistant Designer (Kidswear)

Summary:

IHL Group is looking for a passionate Assistant Designer to join our Kidswear division This Designer will be responsible for assisting in weekly functions and tasks.

Since it opened its doors, IHL Group has securely positioned itself as a recognized manufacturer and wholesaler with its North American and global presence across all major channels.

Responsibilities:

Assist with market apparel/graphic/ techniques research.
Create inspiration boards and sketch garments.
Recolor CADs and prints for line sheets as needed.
Work closely with production team to initiate fabric/trim sourcing and create technical packages.
Create presentation boards and help prepare for meetings/market week.

Qualifications:

2+ years of industry experience.
Design internship experience is a plus
A strong knowledge of garment construction for generating tech packs/BOMs.
Ability to work in a collaborative, teamoriented environment, in a fastpaced environment.
Degree in Fashion Design and or Product Development.
Proficiency in ADOBE Creative Suite such Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, and photoshop.

Job Logistics

Location:
New York, NY - Midtown West

Schedule:
We are operating in-office Monday-Friday.

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $40,000-$65,000
