- Process new and renewed consumer and commercial loan packages. Verify loan checklists to be sure required documents have been received, check for document discrepancies, index documents and export or save to cold storage system. Set up collateral ticklers in tracking system.
- Perfect the bank's lien on consumer and commercial loans, processing motor vehicle title work, file required documents with the state, county and local tax collectors, processing assignments of life insurance and securities and requesting holds be placed on pledged NDB certificates of deposit.
- Track UCC filings on ILIENs web-based system including new filings, continuations
- and terminations. Order UCC searches and lien judgments.
- Process collateral exception documents received through the mail or electronically including insurance policies, filed documents, title policies, car titles, insurance verifications, etc. Review for accuracy and proper indexing. Update collateral ticklers in tracking system.
- Process payoffs received from dealerships, title companies or other third-parties.
- Assist customers, call center and lending staff with loan inquiries. Monitor the loan operations email box and distribute requests to appropriate team members as needed. Handle requests for assistance with payment issues, research misapplied payments and process any corrections needed.
- Servicing of loan accounts including, debiting customer accounts for payments, set loans up on AFT, ACH enrollment, generate forms for due date changes, payment extensions and requests for corrected statements or duplicate copies of statements.
- Mail annual verifications to life insurance and investment companies to update collateral values.
- Process paid consumer and commercial loans, working with lenders to release the banks security interest in collateral, generate paid letter to customer, mail appropriate documentation, update credit bureau reporting codes as needed and input release messages on the loan.
- Update weekly activity report to updates credit bureau reporting codes on consumer loans.
- Verification and payment of incoming drafts.
- Prepare payoff statements for customers, financial institutions, and title companies.
- Assist with other duties in the department as requested by manager.
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- High school diploma or equivalent, associates degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1 year working at a financial institution required.
- 2 to 3 years loan operations experience at a financial institution preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. Competent at learning new software.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate interest, compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel and Word. Proficiency with computer systems required.
