- Serving as a subject matter expert in privacy and data governance requirements and leading initiatives to maintain a best-in-class privacy and data governance program
- Providing actionable guidance on a range of legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements to multiple teams, including Product, Growth, Insurance Operations, Compliance, and Clinical
- Creating policies and procedures, playbooks, and trainings to support the business
- Developing and building out workflows to address questions and operationalize legal and regulatory requirements
- Periodically updating core Grow agreements, policies, and other public-facing materials
- Background in data privacy, ideally with experience at a healthtech company
- J.D. degree and membership in at least one US state bar
- 5+ years of legal experience, with 2+ years of in-house experience in progressively responsible roles
- Experience in high-growth environments, with a knack for navigating ambiguity with high autonomy
- Hands-on leader, excited to get into the weeds and see projects through
- Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
- You have prior experience in and in-house healthcare role
- Comfort and familiarity with legal tech (such as a data privacy platform) a plus

What You'll Be Doing:
We are looking for a Regulatory Counsel with a focus on privacy to help build our growing Legal Department. As Grow's second Legal hire, you will be joining the company at an exciting and pivotal time, with the opportunity to help shape the team and company. We are looking for a hands-on contributor who thrives in high-velocity environments, demonstrates deep operational rigor, and is passionate about driving much-needed change in our mental health system.
Key Responsibilities:
Salary range: $175,000-$225,000
