Duties:


Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:

  • Responsible for testing and evaluation of existing and proposed security programs and systems, development of physical and electronic security programs, and monitoring of current technology trends in support of the Red Team Lead.
  • Plans and coordinates testing activities to include preparing test plans and formal reports.
  • Participates as a member of the Red Team Committee, a governance body comprised of PFPA leadership.
  • Obtains approvals for all testing and project management activities, and follows all pertinent policies.
  • Supports the Red Team Lead to maintain the PFPA Trusted Agent program to ensure that all exercises and tests are conducted in a safe manner.
  • Prepares and briefs all reports and results of tests directly to the Red Team Lead and to the Executive Director, STD in the event of his/her absence.
  • Uses DoD and PFPA resources, such as security and vulnerability assessments, threat reports, and current events, in cooperation with the Red Team activities and for the general of campaign and program plans.

  • This position is eligible for telework. The employee must meet all eligibility requirements prior to teleworking, including completion of required telework training, submission of all required paperwork, and obtaining appropriate approvals.
  • This position may be required to work overtime, holidays, and weekends during peak workload periods
  • This position is indexed as requiring the Security Fundamentals DoD Certification. The employee must obtain the required certification within two years of entering on duty in this position.
  • Employees assigned to this position are designated as MISSION CRITICAL EMPLOYEES.
  • The employee must obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance

Qualifications:

Current or Former Political Appointees:Beginning January 1, 2010, agencies must seek prior approval from OPM before they can appoint a current or recent political appointee to a competitive or non-political excepted service position at any level under the provisions of title 5, United States Code. If you are currently or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C, or Non-career SES employee in the executive branch, you MUST disclose that to the Human Resources Office.
