    • Quality ControlDescriptionDescriptionThe Supplier Quality Engineer collaborates with our suppliers and supply chain sources to continuously improve performance of products by implementing process controls and developing quality assurance plans.
    The SQE tracks data, identifies improvement projects, and manages cross-functional implementation to improve performance of products and suppliers.

    This role investigates, analyses, and resolves supplier quality issues by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends, and leading continuous improvement projects and initiatives.

    This role also manages the supplier PPAP process and drives other APQP practices across the organization.
    Employment subject to the ability to obtain U.S. export license.

    Key Job ResponsibilitiesPerform Supplier Quality System audits on potential and existing suppliers and coordinate assessment and corrective action plans with SCM.Lead the implementation of PPAP methods and tools at suppliers in support of implementation efforts.

    Drive PPAP process for New Product Development.

    Ensure the production readiness of suppliers during new product launches and during component resourcing efforts through the validation of supplier process capability (cpk), appropriate utilization of Quality Planning (i.e., FMEA, Control Plans, etc.), and verification of supplier's understanding of design intent (GD&T) / drawing requirements and inspection methods.

    Develop, implement, and maintain database and metrics that track trends in supplier quality performance.

    Drive quality issue resolution and continuous improvement at suppliers through the application of G8D and Lean Six Sigma methods and tools.

    Work with cross-functional areas to identify technical problems with suppliers and implement corrective actions.
    Manage process controls, establishing schedules for reviewing supplier and quality performance.
    Maintain successful relationships with supply, engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory departments.
    Work with Customer Quality to proactively address quality concerns with suppliers.
    Ability to create and manage work instructions/procedures/process flowsMust be able to travel internationally. Travel up to 25%.QualificationsRequirementsBachelor's Degree in relevant field or Associate's Degree with equivalent years of education and experience.

    Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of quality or continuous improvementKnowledge of APQPKnowledge of ISO 9001 quality specificationsKnowledge of Lean Six Sigma methods and tools a plusExcellent communication and liaison skillsAbility to interact within various organizational levelsNice to HavePrevious experience in electronics manufacturing is preferred.

    Knowledge and application of AIAG quality tools is preferred.
