    Description

    PRYER Aerospace is hiring for a Full Time Quality Engineer for the Tulsa plant. PRYER Aerospace is a leading provider of structural components, assemblies and kits to the aerospace industry. We specialize in the fabrication of complex sheet metal and machined components for commercial, corporate and military aircraft.

    The Quality Engineer provides a high level of leadership and support of Quality department personnel. Will incorporate processes to assure products are procured, designed, manufactured, tested and shipped in accordance with customer and internal QMS requirements.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Primary interface for external audits (customer and 3rd party).
    • Assist in internal process and compliance audits.
    • Create quality plans for new products.
    • Setting up and monitoring system process parameters and reporting to management.
    • Manage and monitor quality systems.
    • Implement and revise procedures and support process improvement teams.
    • Attend internal and customer meetings regarding product quality issues.
    • Perform remote source inspections and supplier audits.
    • Support the company and department business goals and objectives for Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Attitude (QCDSA).
    • Function as a team member and under minimal supervision.
    • Perform essential functions at the discretion of the Operations Manager.

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum of 2 years working experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 2 years working as an inspector in a manufacturing environment.
    • Understanding of ISO9001 & AS9100, SPC Implementation.
    • Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma background preferred.
    COMPUTER SKILLS: Intermediate computer skills utilizing spreadsheets, MRP systems, and other computer software relative to the Quality function.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
    • Must be able to pass a vision test.
    • Legally able to work in the US.
    • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
    • Use proper Personal Protective Equipment when applicable.
    • Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
