We are hiring field technicians in Mendocino County.

We are looking for reliable, personable installers and field technicians who have a desire to work, a reliable vehicle and clean driving record, and an interest in our mission to bring fast, reliable Internet to rural Northern California.

Further Reach ) provides internet service to Mendonoma communities from Mendocino to The Sea Ranch to Anderson Valley. We are looking for full-time (or part-time) field technicians to perform customer installations and repairs of fixed wireless Internet infrastructure.

We are growing quickly and need to expand our field team to perform new installations and repairs. A typical site visit includes:

• coordinating appointments with customers or the customer success team
• organizing gear ahead of time (long travel times make return visits impractical)
• understanding customer needs once on site
• explaining the install/repair plan to the customer
• assessing line of sight and then installing a rooftop radio antenna
• wiring from the rooftop radio antenna to a central location inside the home
• configuring the rooftop and in-home routers
• testing the completed installation
• providing clear and complete explanations to the customer
• coordinate with the support team to close out the installation/repair

An ideal candidate:

• should have 1-2 years experience as installers of residential satellite-TV, security systems, or similar experience.
• must be friendly, positive, and have outstanding customer service skills
• should have solid verbal and written communication skills
• must be able to lift 50 lbs and climb 40-foot ladders while meeting weight restrictions to comply with OSHA/FR safety standards.
• must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle and pass an MVR (driving record) test
• can make a long term commitment (this is not a temporary assignment)
• is a fast learner of radio and networking technologies
• authorized to work in the United States
• is available to work more than 30 hours per week.

Field technicians provide service across our coverage area (Mendocino to The Sea Ranch to Anderson Valley).
