Construction Project Manager Responsibilities
Include:
- Collaborating with site superintendents, subcontractors, inspectors, engineers, architects etc. on a daily basis to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
- Delivering private and public commercial projects successfully from inception to completion
- Negotiating prime and subcontract agreements, safeguarding company interests and incorporating acceptable terms
- Managing budgets and schedule through proactive planning and management
- Communicating effectively orally and through written correspondence
- Adopting company culture centered around honesty, integrity, and continuous improvement
Job brief
We are looking for an experienced and seasoned
Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of major capital new construction and renovation projects on the central coast of California from start to finish,
specifically in the Santa Barbara area.

Responsibilities:
- Build strong professional working relationships with key stakeholders
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Hire subcontractors and vendors, allocate responsibilities
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
- Submit monthly progress billings, ensure labor compliance and documentation needs are met
- Create and maintain construction scheduling, phasing, and sequencing
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
Requirements:
- Proven experience as construction project manager
- Indepth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Good knowledge of MS Suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, Project
- Familiarity with construction / project management software, Procore and BlueBeam Preferred
- Familiarity and oversight experience for direct performed trade work including earthwork, underground utilities, concrete, and framing.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- BSc/BA in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Building Science or relevant field preferred
- PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
