    Description

    Project Engineer

    A leading contractor renowned for excellence in drywall, metal framing, and acoustical ceilings is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join a dynamic team This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for construction and a drive for success.

    Job Type: Full-time, Office-based with occasional local travel

    Responsibilities:

    1. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently and meet quality standards.
    2. Design Review: Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
    3. Material Procurement: Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
    4. Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met and quality standards are maintained.
    5. Budget Monitoring: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
    6. Document Control: Maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
    7. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications and industry standards.
    8. Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
    9. Client Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to address project concerns, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
    10. Progress Reporting: Generate progress reports and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions.
    11. Field Support: Provide technical support to field teams as needed, resolving construction-related issues and facilitating problem-solving.
    12. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and contribute to the enhancement of company processes and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
    • Previous experience in construction project management or engineering, preferably in drywall, metal framing, or acoustical ceilings.
    • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and safety standards.
    • Willingness to occasionally travel to local project sites as required.
