    Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Safety Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety management, with specific expertise in MEP systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating safety risks, fostering a culture of safety excellence across all project phases.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement project-specific safety plans in compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
    • Provide safety training and support to project teams, emphasizing best practices for working with MEP systems.
    • Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Maintain accurate records of safety activities, including inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, adapting safety protocols accordingly.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction safety management, with a focus on MEP systems preferred.
    • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification required; OSHA 500 certification preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of MEP construction processes, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proven track record of implementing effective safety programs and driving continuous improvement.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
