Description

(PenSoft) manufactures payroll software designed specifically to help small to mid-sized businesses and payroll service providers process virtually any payroll and related tax requirements faster, easier, and more cost-effectively.

• Accepts input from peers, supervisors and others as appropriate in order to deliver a quality product that meets or exceeds the expectations of the requester
• Ensures all source code is stored in a source control product
• Maintains and advances the skills required to be a productive member of the PenSoft Information Systems team
• Initiates, attends and coordinates meetings, conferences and other company gatherings as required
• Communicates status information as required, in a complete and easytounderstand manner and using an appropriate method
• Mentors subordinate programmers as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

• Excellent programming language skills with an understanding of webbased client/server, SQL, and structured programming techniques
• An understanding of JavaScript
• An understanding of HTML and the Document Object Model
• A solid understanding of C# and MVC
• The ability to program against Microsoft SQL, ADO, ODBC and JET databases
• The ability to research, resolve and respond to questions and problems using all available resources
• Effective communication skills
• The ability to work with little supervision

• Knowledge of payroll and/or accounting practices
• Extensive experience with scaling SQL databases

• High school diploma or equivalent technical training

• Degree or diploma in Computer Programming, Computer Science or MIS

• Three years or more programming with a Microsoft.

• Three years or more working with JavaScript
• Three years or more programming in a structured environment
• Three years or more working with complex SQL queries and doing database administration

• Five years or more programming with.

• Five years or more programming against Microsoft SQL, ADO, ODBC and JET databases
• Five years or more working with C# MVC
• Five years or more working with complex SQL queries and doing database administration
• Three years or more payroll and/or accounting programming
• Five years or more writing (alone or as part of a team) a commercial software product
• Five years or more managing softwarerelated projects
