    Job DescriptionSalary: $100, $115,000.00 annually

    Young Management & Consulting is looking for a Data Engineer to join our data science team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure DB, including migration from Oracle SQL to Azure, and a strong background in database management and data pipeline creation. This role involves setting up and managing databases in Azure and Oracle, working with ETL tools, and developing data structures to support our data management needs. The candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Migrate data from Oracle SQL to Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
    • Set up and manage Azure and Oracle databases, implementing best practices for security and efficiency.
    • Utilize ETL tools such as Databricks, Data Factory, and Synapse for data integration and transformation.
    • Develop and maintain data pipelines for SQL databases to support business analytics and reporting.
    • Ensure comprehensive database documentation and maintain data dictionaries to support data governance and understanding.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex data-related issues, employing critical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Work on-premises SQL/PLSQL databases, such as Oracle DB, to support various data management tasks.
    • Leverage industry-standard programming and query languages for database management, data manipulation, analysis, and automation tasks, including but not limited to SQL, Python, and PowerShell, particularly in the context of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Proven experience with Azure DB and Oracle SQL database management and migration.
    • Familiarity with ETL tools such as Databricks, Data Factory, and/or Synapse.
    • Strong understanding of data structures and database design principles.
    • Experience in setting up and managing both Azure and Oracle databases.
    • Knowledge of database documentation and data dictionaries.
    • Proficient in SQL/PLSQL or similar and experience with on-premises database systems like Oracle DB.
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Python for data-related tasks.
    • Experience in creating data pipelines for SQL databases.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Azure Databricks.
    • Customer-facing experience, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in data visualization software, especially PowerBI.
    • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changes quickly.
    • Experience working within Agile Scrum and using JIRA
    • Residency in or near Atlanta, GA, or willingness to relocate.
