GENERAL DESCRIPTION


Serves as the liaison between the IT Department and business stakeholders responsible for evaluating business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

This role will be required to collaborate cross functionally with other departments to gather and analyze data and recommend improvements to achieve business objectives.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use various root cause analysis methods to deliver objective analysis for resolving system issues and identifying process gaps, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to obtain an understanding of processes and requirement needs.
  • Coordinate meetings with cross functional departments to create current and future state process maps and KPI metrics from all impacted stakeholders.
  • Propose process improvements using various process mapping tools
  • Prioritize and rationalize proposed changes based on risk assessment, costbenefit analysis, and KPI metrics.
  • Conduct business stakeholder interviews to gather, document and maintain business requirements
  • Obtain business requirement buyin from business stakeholders (e.g., requirements signoff)
  • Document and communicate business requirement changes, enhancements, and modifications — verbally and through written documentation
  • Create and maintain requirements traceability matrices
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to prioritize business requirements
  • Create and maintain functional design documentation
  • Create and maintain Quality Assurance documentation (e.g., Test Plan, Test Cases)
  • Perform System Testing and document the results
  • Support User Acceptance Testing process by providing test cases, test data, etc.
  • Perform Regression Testing and documenting the results
  • Create training documentation and conduct user training
  • Partner with business functional owners to implement approved process changes.
  • Utilize the SDLC methodology to deliver technical solutions.
  • Research, investigate and document transaction flow both inside and outside a system using various tools.
  • Collaborate with external thirdparty vendors, contractors, consultants to develop and enhance the system.
  • Regularly monitor processes and seek opportunities for continuous optimization of processes.
  • Partner with business owners to implement daily management to ensure sustainment of process improvements.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies and new releases impacting business processes
  • Understands and communicates external software interface requirements to enable business processes to be conducted using 3rd party software.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field required
  • 3 Years Business Requirements gathering experience
  • 3 years Quality Assurance or System Testing experience
  • 3 Years Business Process mapping experience
  • 3+ years of experience in supporting the business function (i.e. Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, or Corporate/Customer Service) in Microsoft D365, preferably
  • Proven experience in business process analysis and improvement
  • Finance or financial background preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Constantly required to sit and occasionally required to walk, stand, climb (includes stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, hear, and smell
  • Constantly using hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, and computer keyboards.
  • Routinely required to reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds
