- Perform all production startups and mold changes.
- Perform mold, robot and machine setups when needed.
- Understand and support material handling as required.
- Support and train for any necessary paperwork including process audit workbooks,
- Regular Attendance and professionalism.
- Create and update mold work orders to ensure repairs are properly addressed.
- Perform and maintain all ISO procedures and train personnel accordingly.
- Complete Mold Process Workbook to ensure all documents are complete and accurate. Work directly with Engineering and the Program Manager for updates.
- Troubleshoot mold switches and powerpack(hydraulic) issues.
- Install and removal of molds to and from molding machines using manual and electric hoists.
- Interact with Quality, Tool Room and Engineering to solve day-to-day manufacturing issues.
- Perform daily checks on molds, machines, robots and all other related equipment.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
- Ability to diagnose hot runners and controller issues as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 4+ years of experience
- High School/Trade School Diploma
- Enrolled in Plastics Technology degree preferred with Minimum of Master molding 1 and Master Molding 2 preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Mold Technician
- Ability to run FOT, MFAT and DC2 Processes
- Experience with Hot runner systems and Hot Runner Controllers
- Strong team player, self-motivated.
- Excellent problem skills with attention to detail.
- Computer proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods.
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionally.
- Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously.
- Exposure to physical hazards including chemicals which may require respiratory protection.
- Typically sits, grasps item and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
