    Description

    POSITION: Marketing & Communications Associate

    LOCATION: Emerson Colonial Theatre, Boston, MA

    HOURS: FT, some evenings, weekends and holidays, remote options negotiable

    ABOUT THE POSITION

    Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing and Communications Associate is responsible for:

    1. Curating and creating engaging content for the Colonials social media channels
    2. Managing the Colonials website
    3. Building and deploying email campaigns
    4. Providing customer service on all digital channels
    5. Analysing digital campaign analytics
    6. Assisting in press-related activities

    The Marketing and Communications Associate works collaboratively with:

    • Show marketing teams
    • In-house and central Ticketing and F&B teams
    • Freelance designers, agencies, and vendors

    Success in the role requires:

    • Ability to coordinate the work of multiple external clients and vendors simultaneously
    • Communication changes in design, strategy, and deadlines with the Director of Marketing and Communications and venue management

    PEOPLE, PLACES, and THINGS

    The Emerson Colonial Theatre is the longest continually operating theatre in Boston, MA. Since reopening, the Colonial has hosted a variety of performances and events.

    The Marketing and Communications Associate serves the primary function of overseeing all digital communications for the venue. Supporting the Director of Marketing and Communications in their efforts to realize sales targets is key for the person in this role.

    EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

    A successful applicant will have:

    • Basic understanding of marketing campaign workflows
    • Experience using digital and social media platforms
    • Adaptability and multitasking abilities
    • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools and graphic design/video editing software
