Overview:

SUMMARY


Arcticom, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Medical Supply Manager for Naval Special Warfare Preparatory Course Training and Support Services.

The Medical Supply Manager is responsible for assisting with various tasks to ensure the efficient movement of goods, materials, and information throughout the supply chain while managing and recording inventory levels.


This position is self-managed and works independently at the direction of the government which is directly related to the business operation supporting NSW.

This position requires the individual to work independently performing his/her primary duties directly related to providing timely guidance and will use independent decision-making in advising and the execution of plans, policies and procedures.


Responsibilities:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide professional, administrative, or technical services in support of each member's initiatives and assigned missions. The work effort is to provide the support required to achieve the desired degree of responsiveness essential to accommodate workload demands.
  • Maintains inventory control and replenishment of NSWCEN medical office materials. Provide logistic support in requesting and processing stock issues.
  • Reviews stock limits with Inventory Manager to determine adjustment levels. Closely monitor highvolume critical spares to ensure adequate stock quantities are available.
  • Conducts material location audits to determine location validity, correcting location discrepancies through data input as required, relocate and consolidate stock material as required. Update various data records as required to indicate receipt, issue, and inventory adjustment utilizing an automated system. Communicate unresolved database discrepancies with Inventory Manager.
  • Inputs customer material requirements. Input final issue status to update computerbased inventories.
  • Enter purchase requests into BIZFLOW to be vetted and approved by Government officials.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO's)

  • U.S. citizen
  • Must have or be able to obtain SECRET clearance
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to operate government vehicles

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Selfdirected and able to work without supervision
  • Must be detailoriented, selfmotivated, capable of multitasking, able to work as a team member and to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  • Medical background and experience with medical supplies inventory and quality control checks
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving abilities
  • Proficient in computer systems and software related to logistics and supply chain management

Preferred
***- Previous experience working in a military training environment

  • Previous experience as a logistics assistant or coordinator

  • Job requires the ability to move to material storage and usage areas in order to confirm and record material location, move materials and complete inventory tasks
  • Also operates in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multiline telephone system. Occasional travel may be required.
