Purpose:
This position reports to the Digital Design Senior Manager and is a member of the Creative Services team in Texas A&M Engineering Communications.
The Multimedia Production Specialist III, under general supervision, produces high quality, high impact videos and photos that elevate awareness of Texas A&M Engineering activities.
Responsible for creating multimedia communications activities for the College of Engineering and the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station.This position provides specialized technical skills for the production of video news stories, photography, and audio-visual content and materials for the engineering program.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborated with stakeholders to produce, record, direct, publish, and edit promotional, commercial, and news videos.
- Participates in all steps of video preproduction including preproduction meetings, concept development and storyboarding, working with writers on scripts, and scouting shoot locations.
- Supports development and production of visualization projects and makes technical recommendations.
- Sets up and operates cameras, lighting units, microphones, and other equipment for field production.
- Plans and performs video postproduction tasks, including logging footage, creating rough cuts, color correction, editing audio, and incorporating static images and motion graphics.
- Collaborate with digital designers for static and motion visual graphics.
- Prioritizes, organizes, and schedules work assignments and projects.
- Designs and constructs lighting arrangements for studio and location video productions.
- Maintains Texas A&M Engineering image identity standards. Researches and recommends new multimedia software.
- Evaluates products and services for quality standards.
- Plans, develops, supervises, and participates in special projects. Provides input to policies, rules, and regulations.
- Ensures ADA compliance of all digital productions (e.g., captions, text contrast, etc.)
- Supervises the Multimedia Specialist II.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of related experience.
