Description
Doctoral Candidate, Research Assistant (f/m/d) in Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering or Materials Science

Highly efficient solar cells can make a significant contribution to solving the energy problem and climate change. Perovskite-based solar cells show great promise, but still face significant challenges with durability.

This project aims to develop new methods based on nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to characterize chemical degradation processes in solar cells.

This will enable targeted strategies to counteract premature degradation of the photoactive layers.

Recent advances in miniaturization of NMR detectors allow for analysis of thin layers and other small samples with high sensitivity.

Organizational Unit:

Institute of Microstructure Technology (IMT)

Your Tasks:

Your task is to develop novel NMR detectors for in-situ measurements of photovoltaic perovskite layers and analyze the resulting NMR data.

In addition, you will supervise master and semester theses and publish your results in international journals and conferences.

This position offers the opportunity for a part-time doctoral degree.

Starting Date:

As soon as possible

Your Qualifications:

You have a master's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or a related discipline.

Knowledge and experience in the field of magnetic resonance, design and manufacturing of scientific equipment, and handling of micro-technologies, especially microfluidic systems, are advantageous.

Salary:

Pay grade 13, if the professional and personal requirements are met.
