MORI Associates is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to provide on-site print production support for NASA Headquarters in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract.
eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM).
From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing NASA TV segments, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world.

This individual should be skilled with print design and production.
The incumbent will work independently, supporting print projects such as creative flyers, exhibits, posters, branding campaigns, infographics, and brochures for NASA events and programs.
The incumbent will use large-format printers (plotters) as necessary and will set up posters, banners, and exhibits using appropriate hardware.
Position is open to designers located in the Washington, DC, metro area. The employee is expected to be on site daily during standard business hours.EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants may qualify for this position with 1) a BA in graphic design or a related field, years' experience doing similar work, or 3) a combination of the two, such as an AA with some work experience.
EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
Minimum Requirements:
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to work well independently, be proactive, and serve as a team player
- Attention to details and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- A solid understanding of design principles, including layout, typography, and color theory
- Ability to communicate well with team members and articulate rationale for design decisions
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines
- A selfstarter attitude with an excitement to work in a fastpaced, lowego environment
