    SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

    Shift Information

    Monday Friday, 8am - 5pm with rotating weekends from 8am 12pm

    Responsibilities

    • Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to provide nursing care to the Infusion / Pain management patient.
    • Performs job tasks to ensure personal, patient and departmental safety
    • Performs the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care according to the nursing process for assigned patients in the Infusion/ Pain management program
    • Functions in an organized and time conscious manner. Demonstrates leadership in the delegation of components of the nursing plan to appropriate professional and non-professional staff
    • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of pathophysiology and disease management and understands the role of infusion/pain management therapy and how it relates to disease processes, including oncology
    • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Chemotherapy agents
    • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and skill in the caring for all types of infusion lines, including but not limited to ports, pic lines, and cook lines
    • Initiates and documents patient teaching including family and/or significant others. Uses appropriate patient education documentation according to plan of care for the infusion/pain management patient
