Description

Hand loads waste, junk and trash into packers from thoroughfares
Examples of Duties

UNDER CLOSE SUPERVISION
Cuts grass and perform other grounds keeping functions
Performs custodial duties
Operates trucks and other motor vehicles
Operates small equipment and power tools
Loads junk and trash, white goods, tree limbs, bagged leaves, dirt, etc from streets, alleys and vacant lots/structures by hand into packers
Operates rear-end loader compacting levels
Cuts up and trims downed trees and limbs
Performs routine maintenance and upkeep of packers
Assists driver in vehicle maneuvering and operations
Rides on back of packer and loads junk/trash by hand and tips garbage
Performs related work

Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work
Spends prolonged periods of time sitting, standing, walking, carrying, stooping and climbing
Lifts and carries items weighing up to 100 pounds in a team setting
Spends prolonged periods of time exposed to the elements
Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or the equivalent

Must be dexterous
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
