This is a full-time, permanent position that requires onsite work at our client's New Britain and Kensington, CT locations.


Responsibilities:

-
_ Recruitment & Onboarding_:


  • Partner with local leadership and develop communitybased marketing initiatives for recruitment sourcing methods
  • Develop training and company culture onboarding schedule
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation & required documentation

_ HRIS Management_:


  • Maintain security of all employee personnel documentation. Ensure employee data integrity
  • Provide accurate and updated data for reporting, metrics, and other data reporting programs and/or legal requirements

_ Payroll Support_:


  • Input and review employee data (state/local taxes, banking information, benefit/payroll deductions, and paid time off (PTO) plans)
  • Execute and audit all company employee change actions including, but not limited to transfers, promotions, wage changes, pay adjustments, and termination in HRIS system

_ Benefits_:


  • Responsible for employee healthcare benefits administration
  • Facilitate and coordinate employee benefits education and processes relating to 401K, Retirement/Enrollment, Tuition Assistance, FMLA, Leaves of Absence, Short/Long-Term Disability related paperwork
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs and engagement events

_ Compliance_:


  • Partner with local and corporate leadership to maintain a compliant and updated employee handbook
  • Manage the execution of all annual compliance training
  • Oversee the business unit's Safety Committee effectiveness in mitigating workplace injuries and illnesses, while ensuring the compliance to all federal and state OSHA laws and regulations
  • Ensure the completion of incident forms and submitting Workers Compensation claims

_ Offboarding/Post Employment_:


  • Perform exit interview and ensure a smooth and positive employee transition
  • Respond to unemployment questionnaires and attend unemployment hearings
  • Partner with management to perform department/job analysis to capture any changes in strategy alignment or organizational fit

_ Performance Management/Training & Development:_

  • With management, develop a streamlined, department specific performance appraisal system
  • Conduct investigations on employee relations matters. Coach and guide managers. Track all employee disciplinary actions
  • Monitor and support the employee engagement survey action item deliverables
  • Provide training and/or technical support on various HRIS systems, HR processes, and programs

_ Strategic Planning_:


  • Partner with Leadership in the planning and implementation of the company's HR strategic goals and initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and innovative technologies in all HR functions and recommend new ideas to promote continuous improvement

Experience and Skills:


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, or related field
  • 57 years of experience in a HR Generalist (seniorlevel) or HR Manager function, within a manufacturing and or machining environment
  • Experience reporting directly into company leadership is preferred
  • Comfortable working in a smaller manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Some experience with HRIS/Payroll systems for data management, desired
  • Ability to exercise discretion, good judgment, confidentiality, and professionalism in dealing with all employment issues
