The Account Executive, Government position focuses on the customer life cycle, supporting the growth of State and Local Government within an assigned territory. As a Government Account Executive, you will be responsible for expanding our presence in the State and Local market, managing contract renewals, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and increasing our revenue and retention rates. Your performance will be evaluated based on your ability to meet sales expectations and maintain high job performance through various metrics focused on business growth. Your work must consistently align with T-Mobile's core values.Job Responsibilities:
- Generate new business opportunities within the assigned portfolio of existing and target accounts.
- Exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals in the various assigned categories while maintaining appropriate customer churn goals.
- Negotiate agreements and handle contract negotiations as necessary.
- Act as the brand ambassador within the assigned territory, maintaining a high level of in-person customer meetings to build deep client relationships.
- Sell the total portfolio of T-Mobile solutions by engaging in deep conversations with clients to understand how T-Mobile services can solve their pain points and create win-win scenarios.
- Coordinate with Account Management, Dedicated Care, and other support team members to ensure a strong customer life cycle and maximize revenue and loyalty.
- Use and other internal systems effectively for reporting, forecasting, and documentation.
- Lead customer presentations and attend events as needed to promote the brand and engage with clients.
- Develop and execute account strategies to improve results.
- Engage with internal stakeholders, including operations, marketing, legal, compliance, government affairs, and pricing, to achieve specific goals.
- Complete continuous training to maintain knowledge of products, services, and sales approaches.
- Use automated knowledge systems and training tools to deliver outstanding service and meet T-Mobile's productivity and quality standards.
- Attain productivity and sales goals based on targeted metrics.
- Meet or exceed all departmental goals and business objectives.
- Demonstrate positive and cooperative behavior with customers and coworkers.
- Uphold high standards for ethical and professional conduct.
- Disburse adjustments and credits within established limits and criteria.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by business management.
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Work Experience:
- 4+ years of proven experience in outside direct sales within an assigned territory is required.
- 2+ years of sales experience in the public sector preferred.
- 2+ years in telecom or technology sales strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of account management and strategic selling preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong presentation skills are required.
- Possesses strong strategic selling skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills are required.
- Good solid understanding of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong technical abilities and ability to learn new concepts quickly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate ability to work with internal teams.
- Ability to develop deep client relationships that will lead to developing long-term strategic relationships.
- Strong organizational and territory management skills.

- At least 21 years of age
