The Microsoft Solutions Architect is a technical leader responsible for the design, delivery and ongoing support of complex projects focusing on Microsoft technology stack with a heavy focus on Azure to meet our business needs.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

Build, design, deploy, scale, maintain, and lead the implementation of solutions within Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure
Lead evaluation, design, analyze, and recommend improvements or solutions that meet organizational goals.
Work with other department team members to architect solutions based on requirements produced by or assigned to the IT Solution Architect
Act as subject matter expert on technologies and trends in your domain of expertise
Ensure compliance of solutions to relevant industry and security standards
Participate in technology evaluation and reengineering teams to support business strategy and continuous process improvement activities
Support the development of and implement the technology direction, vision, and strategy to enable Cloud technology adoption
Develop, enhance, and maintain automation of cloud enablement tools
Build tools and automation to eliminate manual operations and craft repeatable processes for cloud use
Assess urgency of issues and facilitate follow-up and resolution, including service quality initiatives to support a highly available environment.
Perform vulnerability management tasks for resources in all cloud environments, in conjunction with Security team
Participate in the design, implementation, and management of workload automation initiatives
Adhere to firm change management, problem management policies and familiarity with ITIL or other formalized IT operations foundations.
Produce technical documentation of systems and architectures
Troubleshoot complex distributed environments pertaining to connectivity, application performance, and monitoring tools, and offer high-level strategic planning and advice to allow for the successful adoption or migration of Cloud-based technologies or services
Develop reporting capabilities to support continuous monitoring of, asset utilization, costs, user activity and other key metrics to optimize the use of our tenant space

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
5+ years of Microsoft solutions implementation experience
5+ years of success in design, planning, implementation and support of complex technical projects
Proficient with Microsoft Azure services, including understanding their capabilities and limitations and being able to architect and deliver solutions leveraging various Azure platform services:
Azure Subscription planning and strategy
Azure Networking including vNet planning, vWAN, vHub, ExpressRoute implementations, VPN options, network security groups, load balancing etc.
Azure infrastructure components including virtual machines, storage, monitoring, automation, software defined infrastructure etc.
Azure security components including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure RBAC roles, Azure secure score, database security, Network security, WAF offerings, Azure firewall etc.
Server infrastructure components including: Virtual machines, storage options including HA and DR architecture, Azure site recovery services
Strong understanding of M365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Defender ATP
Demonstrated experience in endpoint management including mobile device management
Expertise and interest in staying current around new Microsoft 365 solutions
Demonstrated experience with Cloud and Hybrid Architectures
Demonstrated experience migrating on-prem solutions to cloud
Strong understanding of Microsoft on-prem solutions
Troubleshooting unique situations, services and equipment
Ability to utilize technology while maintaining security and stability
Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and in cross-functional teams
Ability to effectively document
