Position Highlights

The newly established Systems Immunology laboratory at the University of Arizona, led by Dr. Prabhu Arunachalam, is seeking a motivated Research Professional I.

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work with a new investigator who is not only dedicated to pursuing impactful research but also to mentoring trainees.

The laboratory investigates the impact of aging with chronic infectious diseases using state-of-the-art multiomic approaches.

Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborate and assist PI in the planning and design of research projects that investigate the impact of aging with chronic infectious diseases.
Conduct fundamental laboratory components and procedures.
Engage with members of the lab in data collection and analyze research findings, judging validity and reliability of data, and produce written reports on the result of the analysis.
Identify and recommend solutions to scientific problems relating to immunology experiments.
Participate in scheduled group meetings.
Assist with laboratory management including organization, upkeep, and procurement of laboratory tools and materials related to immunology research.
Comply with and address administrative inquiries concerning regulatory guidelines and protocols.
Contribute to or author articles in peerreviewed journals, books, or chapters.
Communicate scientific findings by participating in or presenting at conferences.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
One (1) year of relevant work experience required.
