Work Schedule:

Fulltime, Onsite M-F.


Role Overview:


As the COMSEC Manager, you will support the generation and promulgation of policy, guidance, account management, training, and programmatic oversight of secure communications for voice, data, and imagery.

You will assist the Government in the daily management of the Marine Corps COMSEC accounts, cryptographic equipment logistics, and account training.

You will also provide status reports on a scheduled basis citing statuses of updates of the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) suites.

Specific Skillset

  • Establish and disestablish COMSEC accounts. Duties for COMSEC account establishments include the initial setup of the COMSEC account profile in the Common Tier 1 database, assigning COMSEC account numbers, and ensuring that communication infrastructure is in place. Duties for COMSEC account disestablishment include providing disposition instructions for COMSEC material (keying material and equipment) holdings and providing final clearance documentation.
  • Provide administrative support for the COMSEC Registration Authority. This task includes coordination with the COMSEC Technical Support Center and COMSEC accounts worldwide. Duties include adjustment of Common Account Data (CAD), Account Status changes, and generation of Privilege Certificates and Privilege Establishment Requests.
  • Correct procedural errors made by COMSEC Managers and departmental personnel to ensure timely resolution of accounting discrepancies and inconsistencies to maintain accuracy in the Central Office of Record database. Provide government lead with recommendations for training updates based on procedural errors identified.
  • Register and maintain COMSEC accounts CAD in the Central Office of Record automated processing system.
  • Review message traffic and draft responses addressing account anomalies.
  • Participate in telephone conferences on matters directly affecting the Operations Department, COMSEC accounts, and the Common Tier 1 COMSEC Management system.
  • Provide interoffice coordination with NCMS Policy Department (N5), Education and Training Department (N7), and Operations Department (N3).
  • Support the Marine Corps at working group meetings to support the implementation of approved plans

Requirements:


Education & Certifications

  • Highschool Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Cybersecurity, Program Management or a related field is preferred
  • Certificate of Completion KMI Course of Instruction is preferred
  • Certified KMI Operating Account Manager by the DON is preferred

Experience Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in managing KMI accounts and implementing COMSEC policies in the DoD environment.
  • Technical knowledge of DON, & Marine Corps COMSEC policy demonstrated through operational COMSEC account management OR Service programmatic management and oversight within the last 18 months.
