Job Description

The Security Architect is responsible for assessing applications during the system development lifecycle for compliance with security standards. Acts as a trusted advisor across all business areas, while proactively assisting in defining the direction of security controls for future projects.
Provides technical guidance and direction to IT teams to ensure their solutions are created or enhanced in alignment with corporate security strategies and goals.
Strong personal communication skills to be able to translate technical security vulnerabilities to Executive-level business terms, both written and spoken.
Experience at recommending remediation to application vulnerabilities as well as at using Source Code Analysis tools like Fortify.
Experience with risk-based review of security controls within applications.

Required Skills/Experience The rest of the required skills/experience. Include:

7 years of experience in multiple technology areas required.
Demonstrates strong knowledge in one or more major technology areas.
Knowledge of the business required.
Experience developing a robust security architecture in collaboration with IT solution architects creating a healthcare insurance business capability.
Experience across a broad spectrum of information system technologies including applications, databases, network components, servers, voice, user endpoints, mobile, corporate IT infrastructure, and cloud-based technologies.
Familiarity in using enterprise architecture modeling tools and frameworks (ex. Orbus iServer, Troux Planview, TOGAF).

Education/Certifications Include:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, systems analysis, or related field required. Master's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, systems analysis, or related field preferred.
