Our thriving, fee-for-service practice is seeking a dynamic Junior Billing Specialist to join our team and contribute to our financial success while advocating for our patients.


You'll Offer:


  • Knowledge of dental insurance billing and coding
  • 34 years of experience with outofnetwork provider insurance rules
  • A proven track record for collecting past due patient balances
  • Expertise in maximizing insurance payouts (dental experience is a must)
  • Strong attention to detail, low error accuracy, and organizational skills your numbers must match
  • Enthusiasm for following up with patients who have balances
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a compassionate yet firm approach
  • Understanding that finances are the number one reason why patients don't pay their bills, and a willingness to work with patients on financial arrangements
  • A sense of humor, as collections can be a difficult and uncomfortable conversation
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Thrives in a highvolume, fastpaced patient practice environment

Your Impact:


  • Check patient insurance benefits and put them into our system correctly.
  • Send out insurance claims and keep an eye on them to make sure we get paid fast and right.
  • Use tools to check quality and reports to spot why claims get denied and how to do better.
  • Keep patient accounts uptodate by recording payments and changes when needed.
  • Work on getting overdue payments from patients to help our practice make more money from insurance claims.
  • Explain dental benefits and our office rules to patients so they understand.
