    A manufacturing company in Hillsboro, Oregon is searching for a Bookkeeper to join their team. The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supports the financial decisions of the company, and completes financial work accurately, consistently, and efficiently.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Bookkeeping Functions:

    • Assist with all company bookkeeping tasks including but not limited to; AR, AP, PR, GL, and daily/weekly/monthly journal entries.
    • Monitor checking and saving balances.
    • Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
    • Classify, allocate, record and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers.
    • Take bank deposits as needed.
    • Maintain vendor and other third party consultants and payees have accurate information in the system including address, phone, email and W-9s.
    • Follow all state and federal tax codes and regulations.
    • Ensure that business licenses are renewed and paid on time.
    • Print checks and obtain signature.
    • Assist with payroll entry into payroll system and ensure that payroll journal entries are accurate and entered in a timely manner.
    • Review timecards for errors, accuracy, and input corrections and PTO.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping/accounting position.
    • Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Must maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills including being self aware and possessing good listening skills.
    • Ability to work with all levels of the organization as well as customers and vendors while fostering positive relationships.
    • Excellent time management and prioritization skills that can effectively organize information, tasks, and events.
    • Proficient skill level in computer software including ERP System financial modules, or in other accounting software and intermediate to advanced experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, and all MS Office Suite-all versions.
    • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures such as word processing, managing files and records and designing forms.
    • Detail oriented and self-motivated, able to work with limited supervision and to work closely with a team.
    • Reliable transportation to run errands and make bank deposits as requested.
