Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Know and comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI). Review and recommend SOP(s) and Work Instructions (WI) as required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment to established 6S Standards. Practice safe lifting and carrying in accordance to EH&S guidelines. Follow lockout and tagout work practices. Keep all equipment (machines, tools, workstations and storage units) organized and in good condition.
  • Monitor and track the quality and position of the PVC through the feeder box and across the inspection area (Web).
  • Monitor the fill and quality of product at the web area.
  • Complete Batch Record documentation in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
  • Perform SAP duties with an RF (radio frequency) device, or computer:
  • Enter items received into a process order.
  • Ability to receive 2nd request.
  • Ability to enter finished goods.
  • Perform return to stock functions.
  • Handle all packaged and unpackaged product in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
  • Monitor the quality of packaging components during the production process (i.e. Shippers, Case Labels, Unit Cartons, Labels, etc.) and report all defects to the Lead Operator.
  • Perform hand packaging of unit cartons when necessary, in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
  • Assist the Lead Operator in the set up and operation of all production related equipment.
  • Maintain a cooperative attitude toward all other Mylan employees.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
  • Be active member in site improvement projects, helping to streamline the process, maximize efficiencies, eliminate waste, and help implement improvements to achieve company goals. (i.e. Kaizen, 6S Audits, etc.).
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to achieve company goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Must possess knowledge and the ability to work in a team environment, packaging experience preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to be attentive to all functions regarding Production, attendance is an essential requirement.
  • Minimum of a High School diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of experience, manufacturing experience preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business documents. Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment. Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and climb steps. May require use of hands and use of arms to lift and scoop. May be required to lift or maneuver boxes or containers using lifting equipment as well as physically pushing, rolling or lifting.
May be required to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to:

respiratory protection, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes and protective clothing.- Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds up a - 5 tier stepladder. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Requires physical dexterity; twisting and turning of upper torso.- Physical Demand Strength Rating - Medium Work.- Production / Manufacturing environment.

May be required to work alone or closely with others. Subject to some degree of stringent guidelines/adherence to ensure work quality and process. Injuries could result in loss of time or affect work quality. Care is required to prevent injury to self and others.
