- Must be able to lift 45 pounds at a time
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with unexpected situations
- Consults with clients to plan and determine event requirements, including number of guests and size of venue.
- Discusses menu choices and associated costs with clients.
- Collaborates with Director of Food Services regarding special items to be added to the menu.
- Oversees preparation of the venue for the event.
- Sets up and arrange serving stations, lines, tableware, serve ware, and silverware.
- Ensures the venue is clean and that food is handled in a sanitary manner.
- Maintains accurate records of costs for catering services.
- Collects payment for food and services as specified in contract.
- Addresses problems or complaints concerning food or services provided.
- Responsible for supervising the catering staff.
- Assist in the cafeteria as needed during regular shift and hours of operation.
- Performs other related duties as required by the Director of Food Services.

Description
Job DescriptionThe Evening Catering Manager will oversee all aspects of catering services for events at the college for the evening shift and weekend events for the main campus. The catering manager develops, implements and monitors standards of service and coordinates catering activities amongst staff to ensure that a high quality of production and service is consistently maintained. The catering manager may also develop and administer budgets control costs.
Evening Shift Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 10:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. (Hours may vary depending on weekday and weekend events)
