Job Description & Qualifications

The Vice President of Finance, Global Supply Chain will be primarily responsible for providing financial support to the Critical Care Operations Organization.

This role will directly report to the SVP of Finance, Global Supply Chain with a dotted line to VP of Critical Care Operations.

The plant controllers for two manufacturing plants report the VP in addition to a central team.


This position will partner with the leaders of the Critical Care global operations organization and the Critical Care business team in support of financial and operational goals and decision making.


Essential job functions:

Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information including results and projections.

Lead value-added business analysis as well as defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that support business decision-making; analysis may include new product cost modeling, network cost optimization, value-improvement project returns, analysis of constraints, impact of manufacturing method changes, make vs.

buy analysis, inventory optimization, etc.
Responsible for global inventory accounting and related intercompany transactions including profit-in-inventory.

Oversee period closing including monthly management reports related to inventory, fixed assets, cost of goods sold, manufacturing variances and distribution.

Lead financial support for global planning, sourcing and logistics including freight and distribution network costs.
Proactively identify financial risks and work with the leadership team to manage/avoid the risk.

Drive an efficient and effective process for developing financial projections including monthly forecasts, the annual operating plan and long-range planning linked to strategic objectives.

Partner closely with business team to align operations with business objectives and strategy.
Develop strong working relationship with manufacturing operations teams in Irvine, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic.
Interface regularly with senior management from Critical Care operations, Critical Care business and Global Supply Chain.
Provide due diligence analysis and recommendations on acquisitions, supply distribution agreements and other strategic opportunities.
Mentor and train team and provide opportunities to expand roles and responsibilities.
Manage consolidation and review of actual capital expenditures as well as capital expenditure forecasts, plans and long-range projections.
Advise on the proper and consistent accounting of capitalized costs.
Promote consistent capital allocation, review and approval process across the Global Supply Chain group.
Drive Culture of Accountability.


Qualifications:

Education - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related. MBA, CPA and/or CMA preferred.
Experience - At least 12 to 15 years of experience managing personnel in accounting, finance, or manufacturing operations. 10+ years of cost accounting experience, and experience in a high volume and multiple SKU manufacturing operations required.
Must have effective presentation skills and experience presenting information using numbers and responding to questions from key stakeholders.
Must be able to demonstrate through work projects or education a very strong analytical/quantitative background.
Ability to motivate and develop staff while functioning in a dynamic business environment of multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
