Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Provide on the job training for individuals in the program according to their vocational goals.
• Provides job readiness training and social skills training for individuals who are not yet employed or who are employed but need additional supports.
• Drive company assigned vehicle to include medical appointments for persons served and any other activities as directed by supervisor.
• Maintains a positive business relationship with community employers.
• Clearly documents individual progress on tracking forms.
• Clearly and effectively communicates any issues to be resolved to program administrative staff.
• Provides job development services to targeted individuals by communicating with area employers and establishing positive business relationships.
• Attends other required meetings, works overtime when asked, communicates with other staff on daily basis, oversees activities on weekend, and report deficiencies to supervisor.
• Take initiative in organizing and participating in individuals' special functions such as Christmas, CSC anniversary, individuals' picnic, Halloween party etc.
• Trained on all DDA/DHR mandated trainings, CPR/First Aid, and in some cases Certified Nursing Assistant, Medication Administration, and all specialized needs as require
• Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs may be required on a daily basis, depending on the specialized skills required per individual staff may have to utilize a hoyer lift, bath aid, or other means of lifting and transferring.
• Any additional responsibilities as and when required besides the above mentioned.

We have the following Monday-Friday shifts available:_

• 8:30 AM 2:30 PM
• 9 AM 3 PM

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid MD driver's license and acceptable driving record (less than 2 points).
• Successful clearance of state and/or federal background checks.

Requirements for Job Coach:

• Be able and willing to drive individuals in company vehicles to employment or community events.
• Ability to adapt to different situations.

• Ability to operate successfully in a team environment; oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push or carry up to 50 lbs; and can climb, kneel, run and crouch as needed.
• Work requires interpersonal skills sufficient to maintain a calm, supportive and firm approach with adults who have intellectual and other disabilities; maintain patience, tact and professional courtesy; develop and foster a positive selfimage.
• Work requires physical and emotional preparedness to effectively manage incidents.

$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
