    Summary:

    Both Medical Technologists and Medical Lab Technicians have the opportunity to apply for this position.

    This role is part of our Clinical Laboratory Incentive Program. To learn more about the program guidelines and eligible positions, visit the designated page.

    Conduct a range of patient tests and administrative duties to support clinical operations at UNCHCS.

    The Core Laboratory encompasses various testing sections including Chemistry, Toxicology, Blood Gas Analysis, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Hematology, among others.

    Regular Hours: 11:30pm-8:00am Monday-Friday with weekend rotations and holiday shifts. Flexible schedules can be discussed.

    Responsibilities:
    - Investigate issues related to equipment, test results, and workflow.
    - Participate in team projects and special assignments.
    - Provide guidance to students and new employees.
    - Conduct quality control and equipment maintenance.
    - Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures.
    - Prepare specimens, reagents, and solutions.
    - Communicate test results to healthcare providers.
    - Review and ensure accuracy of test results.

    Education Requirements:
    ● Bachelor's of Science degree. Eligibility to sit for MT exam within 12 months of hire.
    Licensure/Certification Requirements:
    ● Certification must be obtained within one year of exam eligibility.
    Professional Experience Requirements:
    ● No prior experience necessary.
