The following position is open: Manufacturing Engineer III

At Custom Microwave Inc., A Vitesse Systems Company, we design, engineer, and manufacture world class antenna solutions for satellite applications. Helping our customers put stuff in space is our specialty, and we have a blast doing it. Which is where you come in: We have an opening for an out-of-this-world Manufacturing Engineer III.

The Manufacturing Engineer, partnering with leadership, will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods. This person will collaborate with management, engineering, and production to facilitate the production process. We are a team-oriented culture looking for a self-starter who can jump in with a "can-do" attitude and deliver excellent customer service. What You'll Do (Essential Job Functions):

Collaborate with management, engineering, and production to support manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and pertinent considerations to facilitate production process.
Prepare reports and analysis required for production, such as tolerance stack-up analysis.
Review, approve, and/or modify mechanical designs.
Review, modify, and release routers, work orders, and related production documentation.
Lead and support discrepancy reports, including writing dispositions and participating in corrective action.
Create and/or modify router templates.
Creates CAD models and drawings of complicated designs using Solidworks, including specifications and tolerance stack ups.
Estimate costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
Consult and advise internal stakeholders on design elements, such as material consideration, inventory, and production process.
Adhere to all internal and external documentation and quality requirements. Conduct and create MCNs.

Responsible for conducting Manufacturing Readiness Reviews.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Support production planning activities.
Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring (Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Working knowledge of AS9100 Rev D standards.
Proficient in GD&T
Excellent communication skills with a desire to build cross-departmental relationships.
Proficient at presenting technical information to varying levels within the company.
Strong organizational skills.

Your Experience (Minimum Qualifications):

BS in Manufacturing or related engineering
- May be substituted by commensurate experience (minimum 4 years)
Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Must provide proof of US Citizenship or Permanent Residency to comply with ITAR requirements.
Ability to pass a drug screen per Custom Microwave, Inc.'s drug testing policy.
Ability to pass a criminal background check per Custom Microwave, Inc.'s policy.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

The manufacturing facility is more than 56,000 square feet. Workers may be exposed to loud noises, chemicals, and other occupational hazards; personal protective equipment may be provided by The Company and at request.

Job Information:
This is a full-time, permanent position. This position is eligible for the employer-sponsored benefits listed under "CMi is Proud to Offer." This position is considered exempt, paid on a salaried basis, and ineligible for overtime pay.

Pay range: $86, $113,043.48 based on qualifications and experience.

Vitesse Systems, LLC performs work controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These statutes require the protection of technical data and products. The regulations require that such data not be disclosed in written, oral, or visual form to any foreign national without prior export authorization from the Department of State.
