Social Workers for Model Project "Social Work in the Daycare Center"

At our daycare center in Pankow, we will be implementing and developing the model project "Daycare Center Social Work" that was developed as part of the Youth Summit initiative.

Our goal is to support families in a strength-based approach, promote social participation, and avoid long-term assistance, while also providing support to families and the daycare center team and working in a socially-connected manner within the community.

This new field within early childhood education needs to be cultivated and established sustainably. Therefore, we are looking for new colleagues to join us until December 31, 2025.

Your tasks | You will be able to...

• Reach families in challenging life situations who require support
• Provide lowthreshold counseling, support, and guidance in navigating the assistance system for families
• Strengthen parents' parenting skills and promote selfhelp potential through empowerment
• Support educational professionals in working with parents and contribute to expanding their skills
• Manage knowledge
• Establish sustainable structures and methods
• Build networks within families, the daycare center, and the community
