Patient Care Technician

Location:39000 Bob Hope Drive Rancho Mirage, CA


Hours Per Week:40


Hours Per Day:8


Schedule Notes:
Monday - Friday in a clinic setting travel may be required


Duties:


  • Assists patients to exam/procedure rooms following standard work procedures.
  • Obtains patientreported medical and social history, vital signs, height and weight, patientreported allergy information, and medication reconciliation information as needed, and records data in EHR (Electronic Health Record).
  • Transcribes orders into the EHR, including films, xrays, labs, and other studies accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Processes patient referrals to other provider offices efficiently.
  • Prepares patient EMR charts accurately and promptly.
  • Gathers reports, labs, studies, or other pertinent data for upcoming patient appointments.
  • Faxes and copies necessary information to insurance companies, other provider offices, and facilities as required.
  • Records information accurately and promptly in the EHR.
  • Takes phone messages professionally and efficiently.
  • Prepares clinic charts in an organized manner.
  • Manages inbasket messages and work queues effectively.
  • Utilizes free time efficiently to clean and stock rooms, copy documents, and file paperwork.

Skills:


  • Competently administers all department procedures, modalities, programs and protocols, consistent with training, written and oral communication skills.
  • Requires effective communication skills in dealing with patients, families and coworkers.
  • Licensure/Certification

Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
