ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Partner closely with hiring managers, executives, and other team members to understand staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and facilitate the hiring process effectively.
- Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available roles, industry standards, and the needs of SSHCO.
- Oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Initiates prehire onboarding plan for new hires and facilitates new hire meetings including orientation.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Performs other duties as requested.
TRAVEL REQUIRED:
- Requires local travel throughout the Chicagoland area and a hybrid schedule in the administrative office on a regular basis. A valid driver's license and insured automobile are
required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience,
required
- A minimum of three (3) years managing fullcycle recruitment
required
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare or public health recruitment, preferably within the nonprofit sector,
required
- Proven history of successfully recruiting for a variety of healthcare and public health positions, including nursing, community health workers, administrative, and programmatic roles.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicanttracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Commitment to the mission and values of SSHCO, with a passion for healthcare equity and social justice.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred. SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
