Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team.
As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing and reimbursement for medical services.
This is a vital position within our organization, as it directly impacts the financial health of our practice.Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medical records for accuracy and completeness
- Assign appropriate medical codes (e.g., ICD10, DRG) to diagnoses and procedures
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit claims as necessary
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues and ensure proper reimbursement
- Coordinate with medical office staff to obtain missing or additional documentation for billing purposes
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Stay uptodate with changes in medical coding guidelines and reimbursement policies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in medical billing or related field
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures
- Familiarity with medical office systems and software (e.g., electronic health records)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Pay:
$ $23.00 per hour
