Principal / Expert Engineer for EV Charging Power Electronics (m/f/d)

Location: Nuremberg, Germany

We are seeking a cutting-edge telecommunications company to join our team in Northern Bavaria.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of technology roadmap for next-generation EV chargers
  • Stay updated on technology trends in the EV charging industry
  • Lead and execute research and development of innovative EV charging solutions
  • Design, verify, and validate converter concepts in our R&D laboratories
  • Collaborate with external R&D institutes and universities to develop new converter and control algorithms for power electronic applications
  • Generate new ideas and protect them through IPR filings

Requirements:

  • Master's or PhD in power electronics, electronic engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in power converter research and development for EV charging
  • Expertise in power electronic converter topologies, modulation, control, and algorithm development, preferably in the EV charging industry
  • Strong theoretical understanding of power electronic converter principles, multi-level converters, magnetic component designs, and power semiconductor devices such as wide bandgap devices
  • Proven track record
