Trueline's client, a rapidly growing leader in renewable energy development, is seeking a VP of Asset Management, to support the asset management needs of the growing portfolio of renewable energy projects.


As the VP of Asset Management, you will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for both the Asset Management and the Operations & Maintenance functions of the business.

This role contributes directly to the long-term sustainable growth strategy of the business and is an excellent opportunity to be a key member of a fast-growing renewable energy business.


As the VP of Asset Management You will:

  • Develop a monthly, quarterly, and annual operating Plan and ensure the business meets the Plan.
  • Quickly identify operating issues and find solutions that both meet budget targets and optimize performance.
  • Optimize performance across the business by establishing a generation forecast that informs the 2024 Plan for all assets in the portfolio.
  • Track and report production actuals against the Plan and establish an ongoing forecast for the year.
  • Establish the financial budget in partnership with the Finance and Operations teams, for all active projects.
  • Track and report financial performance monthly, quarterly, and annually with active forecasts throughout the year.
  • Coordinate compliance timelines with the Project Finance and Accounting teams, ensuring all necessary documents and materials are available as needed.
  • Develop a highperforming team that supports the business as it scales.
  • Continuously improve the productivity and operating margins of the business.

You Will Succeed as the VP of Asset Management If You Have:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in solar asset management
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team.
  • 3+ years of experience with financial modeling, investment analysis, and portfolio management.
  • An understanding of technical solar asset management.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Keen ability to prioritize competing tasks and deadlines.
  • A commitment to the renewable energy space and its growth
