Description
LiveWire is seeking a dynamic, results-driven professional for the position of Human Resources Generalist for its growing companies.The HR Generalist will administer and manage company processes and systems to facilitate and market an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and goal attainment, along with the recruitment and development of a talented team.
This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Vice President.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Recruiting and Hiring:
- Administers, manages, and updates (as needed) the company's hiring processes and HRIS system to recruit and hire a talented team
- Partners with leaders to assess staffing needs and creates / updates job descriptions, and posts, tracks, and updates open positions on the HRIS system
- Utilizes HRIS system to complete entire employment lifecycle, from recruiting to hiring, to onboarding, and offboarding
- Ensures that company HRIS system is consistently and accurately maintained with all new hire information as required to process payroll and maintain accurate records
- HR Law and Compliance:
- Works directly with company legal counsel in HR matters and policy
- Identifies and facilitates all required cyclical compliance trainings
- Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance with laws; approves all information submitted and serves as the primary contact with the company employment law attorney and outside government agencies
- Formulates and recommends Human Resources policies and objectives for the company on any topic associated with employee relations and employee rights
- Stays current with Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep management informed of new developments
- Maintains and updates the Employee Handbook as required by law and conducts annual review of handbook and policies with employees
- Securely maintains all employee files in compliance with all applicable laws
- Employee Relations Management:
- Manages and performs announcements and events for team birthdays and anniversaries; directly manage the Employee Service Recognition program, and organizes "Fun Fridays" and other teambuilding activities
- Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws
- Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employeremployee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation conducts periodic surveys to measure employee satisfaction and employee engagement
- Identifies and monitors the organization's culture so that it supports the attainment of the company's goals and promotes employee satisfaction
- Marketing and Outreach:
- Manages global marketing platform to create and maintain strong branding for the companies
- Secure and maintain current team and project photos
- Consistently maintain a positive company image on social media; post weekly team and project updates on company social media accounts
- Create and issue quarterly company newsletters for distribution to employees and customers highlighting latest company and team achievements and developments
- Proposes and monitors an annual budget for employee recognition, community events support, and company philanthropic giving
- Procure and maintain marketing swag inventory
- Attend industry networking and community engagement events regularly
Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development
- Superb communication skills with proficiency in creating and delivering professional presentations in various types of public audiences
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building skills
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment must include knowledge of Excel and skills in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- Excellent organizational management skills
- Critical decision making ability
- High energy, positive disposition
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time performing desk work
- Must be able to walk construction sites that may have uneven or rough terrain
- Must be able to understand the speech of another person
- Must be able to speak clearly so listeners can understand
- Must be able to see details of objects that are less than, or more than a few feet away
- This is a fulltime position that can require long hours and possible weekend work
- This position may require overnight travel to company projects, conferences, and other events
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development preferred
- SHRM HR certification or equivalent a plus
- A minimum of seven years' experience in Human Resources positions required
