Description

Under general supervision the CNC Operator performs essential duties to ensure that parts are machined to the detailed specifications on the blueprint.

• Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, threading etc.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
• Deburr and prepare raw materials for CNC operations.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks in production.

• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality (fluid levels, cleanliness, etc).

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• The CNC machine operator may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Eye protection is mandatory at all times. Ear plugs and particle masks may be required during certain operations.

• 2 years CNC Operator/Machinist experience for posted wage
• High school diploma.
