Traffic Controller

Duties:

Direct traffic at construction sites or events to ensure the safe and efficient flow of vehicles and pedestrians.
Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signs.
Communicate with drivers and pedestrians to provide instructions and guidance.
Monitor traffic conditions and adjust traffic control measures as needed.
Report any incidents or safety hazards to supervisors or law enforcement.

Experience:

Previous experience as a traffic controller is required (6 months 1 year)
Experience using Portable Message signs, sign installation, TC1 reports, & any other certifications is preferred.
Experience with pulling trailers is preferred.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and stand for long periods of time.
Worksite Traffic Control Supervisor certification is preferred.
Flagging certification required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
