- Bachelor's Degree in the field of medical technology or related science required.
- Staff must possess ASCP or equivalent certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist/ Medical Technologist.
- If certified after 2004, ASCP Certification Maintenance must be current. New graduates only may have six (6) months to obtain certification in order of hire in order to retain position; all others must possess certification in advance of hire and provide verification of certification as required.
- Minimum one (1) year of clinical lab experience preferred.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position, under minimal supervision, is responsible for independently performing complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues that includes standardized microscopic, chemical, and/or bacteriological testing.
All testing is performed in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures, FDA, CAP, OSHA, CUA, and Joint Commission regulations and guidelines.
Test results are used in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
