Your apprenticeship as a retail merchant (m/f/d) in Berlin

As a retail merchant (m/f/d), you will be responsible for procuring goods, advising customers, and selling products of all kinds.

In your industry, you are an expert (m/f/d) in terms of product knowledge. Other typical tasks include handling customer complaints and assisting with product exchanges. You will also be responsible for operating electronic cash register systems. Additionally, you will need to properly receive, inspect, book, store, and strategically place ordered goods. Retail merchants are involved in planning and executing marketing campaigns, as well as conducting market and competitor research.

Retail merchants also take on business-related tasks.

This includes creating staff schedules in human resources and processing documents in accounting, such as calculating sales prices and participating in cost and performance accounting, as well as preparing and conducting inventory.
