Collins Aerospace is seeking a
Procurement
Specialist to join our Procurement team in Chula Vista California. We are a tactical team that manages distributed products for the manufacturing of Nacelles. You are interested in sourcing and managing a high volume of distributed materials. You will manage supplier performance to cost, delivery, quality, technical, and programmatic/contractual requirements. You are an excellent communicator with a desire to learn and be challenged.
The position is onsite 5 day per week at our Chula Vista, CA facility.
May be eligible for relocation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares Requests for Proposals (RFQ) to comply with all technical, quality, delivery, and contractual requirements
- Analyze supplier quotes and proposals
- Creates and authorizes purchase orders and approves payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly
- Drives ontime deliveries on all shipments
- Manages supplier performance to cost, delivery, quality, technical and programmatic/contractual requirements
- Required to manage a high volume of material orders
- Collaborates with leadership and stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and to deliver resolution to complex supplier issues and drive systemic lessons learned
- Performs other duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
- Experience with Enterprise Planning Resource (ERP) and/or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software
- Experience with Procurement or Inventory Management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP software
- Distributed products procurement experience
- Experience developing relationships with Customer(s) and vendors
- Excellent problem
- Skilled at working independently, as well as in a team environment
- Experience performing in a dynamic, fast paced, changing environment
- Experience in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
