- CPA, CFE, CMA or Master's Degree required
- Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, business administration, nonprofit management, or equivalent
- A minimum of five years of progressive senior level work experience directing the accounting functions in a non-profit agency, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience with accounting software such as Great Plains, Sage, Netsuite or similar
- Thorough knowledge of budgeting and accounting practices, processes, and procedures of non-profit organizations, as well as GAAP

SUMMARY
The Chief Financial Officer will set the strategy and vision for the financial position of The Arc Gateway and related organizations.

Additionally, this position will oversee information technology and human resources while working collaboratively with the CEO, COO and CAO.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides strategic vision and mentorship in the understanding of financial planning and reporting.
Partners with the Executive Team to model and foster a culture that is analytical, collaborative and improving continuously.
Results-focused with regular analysis of financial performance, trends, and forecasts.
Designs, recommends, implements, and evaluates internal controls, policy and procedures for financial operations, risk management, and employee satisfaction.
Leads budget preparation, review, presentation and implementation in collaboration with managers/directors, officers, Board Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and communicate financial results to CEO and Board Treasurer.
Serves as a liaison to the Board Finance Committee and Board of Directors.
Assists in the preparation of grant and contract applications, reports on performance and ensures financial compliance.
Directs all treasury management functions including operating and savings accounts, investments, endowment, corporate credit cards, and debt management.
Drives annual financial audits, ensures accurate reporting and responses, as well as reviewing and approving annual Forms 990 and F-1120.
Provides oversight of human resources and payroll and benefits, including required filings, reports, recommending policy and procedures, and ensures appropriate systems are implemented.
Leads the information technology function to ensure appropriate systems and policies are in place, analyzes current and future IT needs and works cross-functionally to meet this needs.
Ensure compliance for all required local, state, and federal reporting, as well as audits and related reviews.
Cultivates and manages team members, guides professional development, and ensures team members are mentored and supported.
Serves as Acting Chief Financial Officer for a nearby Arc affiliate, one that is a similar size to The Arc Gateway in employees, budget and programs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly s upervise four staff (Director of Finance, Director of Human Resources, IT Specialist and Administrative Coordinator) in accordance with the organization's policies, the requirements of the funding agencies and applicable laws.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE SKILLS

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to pass FDLE background screening, Department of Children and Families Abuse Registry Check, local law enforcement background check, Affidavit of Good Moral Character, and drug screen.
