Professional Development Academic Trainer - Multicultural Curriculum #8026


SUMMARY


Support development and implementation of an aligned, and well administered multicultural curriculum, that provides students with a range of opportunities to conduct research, improve critical thinking, and promote a positive and inclusive school climate that endears understanding and a sense of civic responsibility among all students.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, a Core Content Area or a related field

Arizona Teachers Certification.

Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.

Seven years of teaching experience.

Experience working with curriculum and instruction, national and state standards, instructional design facilitation and event planning.


Experience in planning and providing district and site level events or trainings in multicultural education, culturally sustaining pedagogy, and intercultural proficiency.


Excellent communication skills (verbal, and written), writing competency, professional development, and presentation skills, well versed in the use and integration of technology.

Ability to work successfully with diverse populations.

Availability to work flex hours as needed, to include evenings.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Three (3) years experience with Tucson Unified School District.


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.


COMMENTS

Pay Range $45,341.06 to $53,457/year

Work Calendar: 10.5 month


Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

  • Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District._
