Direct Reports: - Communications Manager, External Relations, and Associate Director.

InLiquid is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1999 by artist Rachel Zimmerman. InLiquid connects artists and audiences in Philadelphia because everyone needs art to find hope, beauty, and purpose.


The organization creates opportunities and exposure for contemporary visual artists through exhibitions in our InLiquid Gallery and satellite exhibition spaces.

Additionally, InLiquid is a free public online hub showcasing Philadelphia's vast visual arts community.


InLiquid's mission is twofold:

  • First, to help artists build sustainable careers.
  • To make Philadelphia's dynamic visual arts community accessible to all.
InLiquid's mission has never been more imperative than it is today.

InLiquid's efforts unite communities, establish wider audiences for artists and designers, facilitate the relationship between artists and collectors, and nurture the public's appreciation of all forms of visual art.


For over two decades, InLiquid has made outstanding works of art by Philadelphia artists accessible throughout the Philadelphia region by promoting established and emerging local artists to Philadelphia's diverse communities and venues.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Management of both written and visual website content.
  • Design and creation of social media content.
  • Promotional writing highlighting individual artists and programming, including events and exhibitions.
  • Collection and editing of photo and video content.
  • Attendance at programming events.
  • Maintain temporary website listings, including artist opportunities, exhibitions, and community events.

Qualifications / Skills:


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity and experience with various media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, Tik Tok.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Public relations and/or visitor service experience.
  • Content creation experience preferred.
  • Some knowledge of photo and video editing software is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Interest in visual art is a significant plus.
